1st Convocation Lecture: Don Calls For Cooperative Education In Building Globally Competitive Polytechnic

Stakeholders which include academic and non academic staffs of institutions have been identified as powerful forces that have major roles to play in building a globally competitive polytechnic in Nigeria.
The Guest Lecturer, Dr. Adamu Mas’udu Kazaure made this assertion while delivering the first convocation lecture of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji at the institutions permanent site in a lecture he titled: “Building A Globally Competitive Higher Education: The Role of Stakeholders”
According to him, building a competitive polytechnic requires much sacrifice from all stakeholders as they have the capability to influence the quality of output of an institution.
Dr. Kazaure in his presentation discussed the evolution of FEDPOLEL as an institution just as he acknowledged that government cannot do it alone as all hands must be on deck towards building a virile educational system.
While also highlighting ideal teaching and learning processes, the roles of students, non governmental organizations, private sector and even parents in building qualitative education, Dr. Kazaure said attaining systematic transformation must involve internal and external stakeholders saying the world is evolving and cooperative education goes a long way in building globally competitive polytechnic.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Rector of the institution, Prof. Emmanuel Fasakin said the convocation lecture is historic and would go down in the annals of history saying the guest lecturer, Dr. Kazaure is an astute academia and administrator who has come to share in his wealth of experience.
Prof. Fasakin also lauded Dr. Kazaure for his selfless effort in helping the institution achieve its dreams.
