Addressing the elders, Agbaka Obasuyi while welcoming them shared his vision of a great constituency saying as a child to the elders, he really needs their support to birth his dream to facilitate develop to the people.

Agbaka Afolabi who noted that there is a big problem in the socio, political and economic development of Akure kingdom said he has the quick remedy as the son of the soil born into Elemo dynasty from a mother who comes from the long line of Adesida Family saying as the head of Alagbaka Community, he understands the challenges of the people and now ready to serve in a higher capacity to attract dividends of democracy to them.

While also underscoring the fact that his interest is borne out of a divine mandate to lead the people aright, Agbaka Afolabi expressed worry that though Akure is the State capital with the largest voting rights, strengths and capacity, it is yet to produce a Governor or a Minister and has also remained marginalized with federal appointments.

“ I want to change the narrative as an Akure indigene. I am well equipped with knowledge from both local and international universities; therefore I have full capacity to push up the development of Akure kingdom”, he added just as he used the opportunity to reel out his exposure to over 15 different countries stressing that if given the chance, he will bring his wealth of experience to bear and attract international investors to the district.

“I will among others engage many of our youths and women because many of our people have been relegated politically. We are at the back door in Akure , therefore this is the best time to get it right. Why can’t we have companies such as Cadbury that will make beverages in Idanre? Why can’t we have Akure textile Mill. I have consultant in Netherlands, Canada and all over who can drive investors here into Akure.

Every local government deserves to have an industry, hospital, markets as it is in the western world. The economic policy of Lagos is more like of that of Netherlands, so we can replicate it”, he added saying it is time to be deliberate about who represents the people at the upper chambers in the National Assembly.
