2023 Presidency: Atiku Woos Ondo Delegates, Rolls Out Agenda

 

Former Vice President and People’s Democratic Party Presidential aspirant, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has assured the people of Ondo State a special place in his administration if elected Nigeria’s president come 2023.

Atiku gave the assurance while speaking with the national delegates of the party at Ondo State party’s Secretariat in Akure yesterday.

The former VP who used the opportunity to commend the party and the people of Ondo for their overwhelming votes during the last presidential election in the state said he values the people of Ondo State who have always been standing firm with him in making his dream a reality.

On some of the things, he would do, Atiku identified
five key areas which include provision of adequate security, revamping of comatose economy, funding of education and ensuring there is peace and stability to.grow the economy.

He stated that, Buhari APC led government has caused disunity among Nigerians, just as he promise to unify and bring sense of belonging to every ethnic region.

The Turaki of Adamawa promised to equip the country’s security agencies and increase it’s personnel for efficient service delivery. ” It is when the country is adequately secured that you can talk of developing economy; I will increase our police and Army and equip them with modern equipment”.

He said under the People’s Democratic Party administrations, Nigeria is rated as the best economy in Africa, noting that Buhari led APC has failed woefully in managing the economy of the country.

While advocating for restructuring, Atiku stressed the need to decentralise power and return more responsibility to the state.

On education, he bemoaned the incessant strike of the University lecturers, promising to adequately fund education.

He charged the delegates to elect the best candidate that will return PDP to power in 2023.

Responding, the State Chairman, Alhaji Fatai Adams while assuring the aspirant of total support, promised to deliver the state to him comes 2023.
