Following the inauguration of Ondo first ever female Secretary to the State Government, Princess Catherine Oladunni Odu by the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu at an elaborate event held yesterday at the Cocoa Conference Hall of the Governor’s Office, members of the Akure Chambers of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ACCIMA), have expressed congratulations to Princess Odu while also wishing her a successful tenure.
In a congratulatory letter personally signed by the State Chairman, ACCIMA, Engr. Emmanuel Adewumi, on behalf of the city chambers, the group said the Governor Akeredolu led government has made history with the appointment and has shown commitment to the cause and welfare of women in Ondo State.
ACCIMA members while noting that Princess Odu’s appointment is a testimony to the fact that women can be more and that their long term agitation for inclusion has not only been attended to but that the government has women’s welfare as a priority, charged women most especially to support the administration towards attaining success in all its endeavours.
On her capability to deliver, the city city acknowledged it has no doubt that Princess Odu is a tested and trusted hand whose wealth of experience will be brought to bear in building a greater Ondo State as women have overtime proven to be effective managers of human, capital and natural resources.
While also congratulating Mr. Governor for breaking a long term jinx in the history of the state, the group applauded Her Excellency, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu- Akeredolu for doing all in her power to make women’s voice count in Ondo State.
