Opinion leaders and party stalwarts from Akure North Local Government area of Ondo State, has perfecting their plans to present the former Majority Leader of the Akure North Legislative Council, Hon. Kolawole Ologede as their prefferd candidate of the party as his nomination cut across all the interest groups in the local government .
The leaders that has signed and endorsed his nomination form include former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, RT Hon Kenneth Olawale, immediate past Commissioner for works Saka Yusuf Ogunleye , former Commissioner in SUBEB, Tayo Fayanju, the present Council Chairman, Bankole Ogbesetore, the Secretary of the Council Olubi Emmanuel,
The Local Government Party Chairman, Joshua Eleti and his Secretary leading other seven ward Chairmen.
The leader of the Legislative Council, Hon Folorunsho Korede leading other ten councillors of the council.
Former Assembly member Olamide George, three former Council Chairmen, Simbo Akinola Obey, Ayo Fadipe and Rotimi Adeleye.

The Local Government woman leader Mrs Akeredolu leading ten women leaders across the 12 wards in the LG.
The LG youth leader Lawal Tosin , the APC Central Senatorial Youth leader Paul Adeniyi, past state officers of the party Tuyi Fatukasi and Deji Oluwasina among other leaders are rooting for Ologede.
Five out of the aspirants in the race has agreed to step down and support him.
As it stands, he has the incumbent member of the state House of Assembly Dr Abioudun Faleye , two term members of the state House of Assembly Hon Akin Adeniyi and the SDP Councillorship candidate of Ayede Ogbese, during the last Local Government election, Princess Ronke Oluyede to contend with .
Going by the available records the party primary will be decided by the party stalwarts to choose the best candidate amongst the three contestants.
