No fewer than 300 children drawn from Ilere, Ikota, Ipinsa, Ilaramokin, Akure and Ijare towns were on Sunday 27th December, 2020 hosted by The Ark Children Home, a Non Governmental Organization ( NGO) run by the Emmanuel World Children Foundation.
At the annual end of the year get together which took place at the headquarters of the foundation at The Ark Children Home, Ikota, off Ijare Road, Ondo State, the Shelter Manager, Mrs Precious Adaramola while welcoming the children said many of the children always look forward to the party which is a time to celebrate and thank God for seeing them through the year.
Mrs. Adaramola who also observed that the annual event was conceptualized to by Emmanuel World Children Foundation to reach out to the less privileged most especially children expressed gratitude to God for making the event a reality despite the challenges of 2020 both on the local and global scene.
It was indeed a refreshing and fun filled time for most of the kids who had no hope of such a rewarding time out as they were treated to delicious meals, assorted fruit drinks, dance and games coordinated by Miss Bunmi Ogunlola (Anty Boom). Parents were also not left out of the fun time.
Earlier in his remarks, the Executive Director of Emmanuel World Children Foundation, Mr. Emmanuel Adaramola encouraged the children not to use their time for play as the holiday has been extended due to the covid-19 challenges.
He also admonished them to stay away from bad influence and moral while also stressing the need to stay away from sexual predators and report anyone who attempt or sexually abused them.
The party was supported by various organizations and individuals such as SAVAYE, EKNORS Automobile, STAFF of Access Bank Alagbaka Branch, Making and Mending Centre and Hope Alive Women and Children Ministry among others.
