Grand Wedding as Hon. Adeniran Oyebade Knot Ties with Bride, Opeyemi

The wedding ceremony between Hon. Adeniran Oyebade, a former aspirant for the Ondo Central senatorial district before the 2023 general election under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Opeyemi Ademowa took place on Saturday 16th September, 2023 at Luxury California Hall of T-Mark event centre, Ita Alamu, Ilorin, Kwara State.

The grand event which was witnessed by the creme-de-la-creme within and outside the country, royal fathers, political big wigs, friends and associates also marked the conferment of Doctoral Degree on the groom.


Speaking at the colourful event, the Chief Imam of Ojutalayo Central Mosque, Ireakari Estate, Ibadan, Imam Muritala Adediran, stressed the need for the couple to understand each other and make love cornerstone of their home.

Imam Adediran, who spoke on behalf of Adelegan family, described marriage as a life contract, maintaining that living a fulfilled marital life requires understanding and endurance.

The Muslim leader urged the wife to be submissive and to accept the will of her husband.

He advised the husband to be democratic in dealing with his wife and always carry her along in the scheme of things.

The Imam prayed God to bless the union with the fruit of the marriage in no distance time and grant the couple long life and prosperity.

 

The bride father, Mr Samuel Ademowa advised the couple to respect each other and avoid third party’s intervention in their affairs.

Ademowa, who is a retired DSS officer, admonished his daughter to be good ambassador of the family by avoiding any acts that could drag the image of the family into mud.

The grand ceremony also featured of Honourary Doctorate Degree on the groom, Prince Adeniran Oyebade.

Prince Adeniran bagged Doctor of Philosophy and International Diplomacy from ESCT University, Benin Republic.

The presentation of doctorate degree was in recognition of Dr Adeniran contributions to the development of humanity and educational pursuit of many students.

Speaking shortly after the event, Dr Adeniran said his joy knew no bound for witnessing the day.

“It is practically impossible for me to describe how I feel today. As matter of fact, it will be an understatement if I say this is one of the happiest days in my life”.

“I have never been this happy in my life because to have the foremost traditional ruler honouring my invitation as well as so many other dignitaries, I’m highly elated”.

“As you can see, the King is here, his presence is felt, he has been with me throughout whole process. This is a symbol and message to everyone around me that this gentleman is loved from the source as a son of the source, well loved.

“So, it is a thing of joy and there are a lot of things that we are celebrating today because celebrating a Doctorate Degree in International Politics and Diplomacy is a thing of joy”

“Though, this is not the first, it is just another cap to my feather, yes, I am very excited. You can address me properly now as Hon Prince (Dr) Adeniran Omotola Okeowo Morounmubo Omogbadewa Oyebade.”

The Ooni of Ile-Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi was ably represented at the occasion by Agbolu of Agbaje -Ife, Oba Adekunle Adebowale, while the Police Public Relations Officer, Kwara State Command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi  witnessed the ceremony.

Other dignitaries at the event included Ondo State Organizing Secretary for APC, Hon Charles Babatunde Fagbonka; pioneer Local Council Chairman Ondo East Local Government, Mr. Akintunde Temitope (aka Olainukan); the Chairman of Committee of Friends, Dr Heroe Akinbiola; St. Joseph College Old Boys Association, while the event was chaired by Major Barr C.C Uche, Commandant Military Police O.C 32 Artillery Brigade.
