One of the governorship aspirants under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Banjo Okunomo today picked up his governorship nomination form at the party’s secretariat in Akure saying going by micro zoning, it is now the time for the Ilajes to produce the next Governor of Ondo State.
According to him, his passion to govern the state is driven by his concern about rising level of poverty which he would redress through good governance saying his intention is not borne out of emotion but genuine intention to bring about change.
Hon. Okunomo who traced the history of successive government in the state also said the senatorial district with the incumbent deputy governorship slot usually produces the next Governor.
On his plans for the people of the state, Hon. Okunomo affirmed his readiness to doing things differently and build legacies that will outlive his government.
“I am definitely going to lay down legacies. My legacies as a local government chairman are still there so when I become Governor, I will do a lot more. I will do a lot of things differently. We must do something differently. I will make Ondo State an industrial hub”, he restated.
