As more and more Nigerians continue to support the throw pillow campaign of the First Lady of Ondo State, Mrs. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu under the hash tag””IChooseToSupportTheGirlChild”, the Chairman, Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic, Namoda, Kaura, Zamfara State, Hon. Omowunmi Olatunji-Ohwovoriole today also joined the campaign saying the BEMORE Summer Boot Camp initiative is laudable as it has lifted many girls from the pangs of poverty.
Hon. Ohwovoriole stated this at her office in Akure while playing host to BEMORE team led by SSA Research and Documentation to the Governor, Mrs. Tope Daniyan and SSA Media to Her Excellency, Ms. Tobi Fademi.
While commending Arabinrin Akeredolu for conceptualizing the initiative to empower girls most especially in the areas of ICT, Renewable Solar Energy and other Life Skills, Hon. Ohwovoriole also reaffirmed her strong belief in BEMORE while also affirming her readiness to continue to support the initiative.
“I stand with BEMORE and with Arabirin Akeredolu. She is doing very well in the area of girl child education and many girls have already benefited from it. Arabinrin Akeredolu, we celebrate you”, she added.
In a chat with topshotnews, Ms. Fademi urged well meaning Nigerians to join the cause which she says has succeeded in raising techy girls who are well equipped to face modern day realities in a technological world.
Also speaking, Mrs. Daniyan noted that many of the girls who had passed through the training have become self actualized, thus the need to encourage and support more girls to benefit from the programme.
BEMORE Summer Bootcamp is one of the initiatives of Mrs. Akeredolu, conceptualized in 2017 and which has over the years trained more than 1,500 girls across the state.
