The leadership of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ondo State chapter today, 22nd April, 2024 inaugurated members of the union’s media team which activities will be overseen by the State Publicity Secretary, Comrade Segun Olu Aina
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony held at the union’s headquarters in Akure, the Ondo State capital, the state president, Comrade Fredrick Akinrinlola said the gesture is aimed at ensuring that members of the union are inundated with adequate information about the activities of the union.
According to him, the initiative which is free of charge will be of immmense benefit not only to the union but also to the entire local government work force who can now access the use of the equipment for their private ceremonies such as burial, birthday, weddings among others.
While restating the importance of record keeping, Comrade Akinrinlola said the equipment will also be used to cover union’s activities so that records are kept for genenerations yet unborn.
He also used the opportunity to announce that the union’s website is up and running and that all activities will now be uploaded to the website.
One major highlight of the event is the unveiling of members of the Press Crew with their respective offices.
Those inaugurated include Comrade Adedayo Pius Olusola as Special.Assistant 1 and Comrade Bobola Adeniyi as Special.Assistant 2 for (cinematography category).
Also inaugurated alongside is Comrade Monehin Omolayo Seun as Senior Special Assistant 1 and Comrade Olajide Fredrick as Senior Special Assistant 2 on Media respectively.
The event also featured the launch of media equipment which include video camera, photo camera, video writer with tripod and other accessories.
Responding on behalf of the team, the State Publicity Secretary, Comrade Olu Aina said NULGE, Ondo State is indeed blessed to have a president who is hi-tech, visionary and innovative.
While also using the opportunity to commend the President for making indelible mark in the anal of history of NULGE, said since assumption into office, he has been running participatory government and poised to deliver goodies to the entire local government workers
