Ondo Schools Resume…


Public and private schools across Ondo State today, 9th May, 2022 resumed for the 3rd term in line with the academic calendar.

At Fiwasaye Girl’s Grammar School, one of the best public schools in Ondo State, there was massive turnout of students for the usual principal test that marks the begining of academic activity for the new term.

Speaking on the level of preparedness, the principal, Fiwasaye Girl’s Grammar, Mrs. Ojoge said she was impressed by the turnout of students on the first day for the principal test noting that those students writing external examinations have been having classes all through the holiday.

Mrs. Ojoge who thanked members of her staff for sacrificing their time to help prepare the students for excellent outing in their examinations, said the school has a high standard that must be maintained.

While urging parents to make the job easy for teachers while they try to inculcate discipline in the students, said the school will not condone acts of indiscipline just as she charged other school administrators to keep engaging their students so as to build their characters and moral for a great nation.

Also speaking, the principal of Oyemekun Grammar School, Mr.Ogunleye Okeowo who thanked the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for giving Ondo Schools conducive learning environment said the school on its part has mapped out various strategies and plans towards meeting set goals for the term which will run for 14 weeks.

Mr. Ogunleye who said the school will reduce extra curricular activities towards enhancing the academic prowess of the students for the term, said Oyemekun is known for winning several competitions most especially in sporting activities.

In his charge to the students, he urged them to put in their best as it is a promotion term.
