Public, Private Schools In Ondo Resume For 2nd Term

On Monday 6th, January, schools across Ondo State resumed for the second term just as the students settled down to write the usual Principal’s test, a test conducted across public secondary schools to ensure that students read their books during the holiday.
The principal, Fiwasaye Girls Grammar School, Akure, Mrs. Taye Bola in a chat said over 90% of the students showed up on the first day of school and have shown preparedness for the test.
According to her, the school will undertake lots of activities during the term just as preparations are in top gear for the celebration of the schools 60th anniversary set to commence in a few weeks time.
While urging the students to continue to keep up the good academic credence which the school is known for, Mrs. Bola charged the teachers to remain committed to their duties.
Also speaking, the principal, Oyemekun Grammar School, Mr. Dayo Adebayo said the teachers are ready for the new term and that everything is in place for the principal’s test.
Mr. Adebayo who recently took over as Principal in the school assured the school community as well as the alumni and the parents of his readiness to sustain the tempo of work and even surpass the legacies that has been put in place.
He also used the opportunity to charge the students to brace up for the term and be ready to give their best.
At Aquinas College, Akure, the principal, Mr. Olusola Adeyeye while expressing delight at the impressive turn out of students on the first day of school said the teachers are ready for the task just as he enjoined the students to continue to work and study hard in order to excel.
Speaking on new term resumption, the proprietress, Aniade Model School, Akure, Mrs. Adenike Adegoroye Nathan restated that her school which is known for excellence is set to deliver as ever during the new term.
Mrs. Adegoroye Nathan while stressing that Aniade Model School he school is known for qualitative education, assured parents of the preparedness of the teachers to continue to provide world class teaching.
She also used the opportunity to affirm that the school comes out best in every competition it had participated in and as such, parents should take advantage of its affordable fees and give their children the best form of education within affordable means.
