The principal of one of best private secondary schools in Akure, Calvary International College, Akure, Mr. Abiodun Fagoroye has expressed delight at government’s decision to reopen schools for academic activities saying it is a right step in the right direction.
In a chat with topshotnews, Mr. Fagoroye expressed gratitude to God for bringing to nought the speculations by powerful individuals that Africans most especially Nigerians would be decimated by COVID 19 pandemic saying it is high time the people begin to adapt to the realities of the disease and live their lives.
According to him, COVID 19 is real and as such the people must adhere to prescribed protocols to stay safe and alive.
While noting that the school has put in place infrared thermometer, washing soaps and sanitizers at the entry points to the school and in front of all its classes, Mr. Fagoroye also noted that students are well spaced in class as part of measures to ensure social distance among the students.
“We have not only spaced out our students, we also enforce the use of their personal hand sanitizers while ensuring there are no assembly or break-time for now, until we are able to curtail this pandemic”, he added saying the school has also put in place breakfast classes in order to be able to cover the syllabus.
