WOWICAN Congratulates Akeredolu, Aiyedatiwa, Calls For More Women Inclusion

The Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria ( WOWICAN), Ondo State has also expressed it congratulatory message to the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) and his deputy, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa on their inauguration into office as the Executive Governor and Deputy Governor of Ondo State.

The congratulatory message was contained in a release made public and signed by the State Chairperson of WOWICAN, Deaconess Grace Ademokoya.

The statement further reads: “We, the members of Women Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria, WOWICAN, Ondo State Chapter, under our Chairperson, Deaconess Grace Kehinde Ademokoya and the General Secretary, Ambassador Mrs. Theresa Ale felicitate with Your Excellency, the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, on your inauguration for a second term and the Deputy Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa on his fresh inauguration.

We wish you God’s guidance and protection as you serve the people of the Sunshine State. We also rejoice with our first mother in the State, Her Excellency, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu and the Wife of the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Mrs. Oluwaseun Ayedatiwa. We pray that God will grant you wisdom to be able to impact on the womenfolk positively.

We love you and we look forward to partnering you in your desire to better the lot of women and children in the state”

According to Deaconess Ademokoya, Governor Akeredolu’s re election was a testimony to the fact that he performed creditably well in office during his first term.

While applauding the Governor for his sterling qualities and commitment to the women most especially, Deaconess Ademokoya said the Governor during the first term was women friendly.

Deaconess Ademokoya urged the Governor to consolidate on the good works he started during his first term just as she called for more women inclusion in government saying women should be involved in matters that directly affects them.

She however used the opportunity to urge the people to continue to support the government towards achieving its set out goals.
