Agric Revolution: ODSG Endorses OSIAFFA 2021, Calls For Corporate Sponsorship

As the stage is gradually being set for the hosting of Ondo State International Agric Show and Food Fair, Akure ( OSIAFFA) 2021 on 23rd -26th November by the Ondo State Agricultural Commodities Association ( OSACA), the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has pulled his weight behind OSIAFFA saying it is a laudable initiative.

The Governor made these remarks while playing host to members of OSACA and the national leadership of Palm Produce Association of Nigeria who on Thursday, 30th September paid him a courtesy visit to intimate and get his endorsement on OSIAFFA.

While applauding the initiative, the Governor urged corporate entities to partner OSACA and sponsor OSIAFFA as it will not only revolutionize agriculture but also go a long way in boosting Ondo State Agricultural base.

OSACA led by its state chairman, Mr. Gbenga Obaweya said the fair is expecting 5000 people physically and a global audience of about 10000 people on virtual platform.

Describing the Governor as God’s appointed defender of Ondo State farmers, Mr. Obaweya thanked the Governor for all his efforts in protecting farmers in the state just as he informed him of increased plantation of tomatoes and onions saying Ondo State is now set for agricultural revolution with the OSIAFFA initiative.

Also speaking, the National President of National Palm Produce Association, Amb. Alphonso iIyang while also using the opportunity to thank Mr. Governor for releasing 10,000 hectares of land for the cultivation of palm said it will go a long way in scaling up palm production in the state.

Some outstanding individuals and organizations who have contributed meaningfully to the development of agric sector in the state and who were recently awarded were also presented to the Governor

Earlier in his address, the SSA to Mr. Governor on Agric and Agric Business, Mr. Akin Olotu while reeling out the modest achievements of Mr. Governor in the agric sector said the Governor is indeed committed and passionate about food security in the state and the nation at large.
