The members of the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS), Ondo State chapter led by its State President, Pastor Mrs. Jumoke Aborode is calling for justice over the rape and murder of Ms. Adeyemo Justina Zainab, by unknown gang along Ese and Irun Akoko North West local government area of Ondo State on Saturday, July 18, 2020.
The case of Ms. Zainab who until her death was a scholar at St Augustine Nursery & Primary School, lrun Akoko and a prefect is another one too many of such crimes perpetrated against women across the country.
In a statement made public, the Ondo State NCWS says it will pursue to a reasonable end the path of justice for the little princess just as it ordered for the transfer of the case to Akure, the state capital, at the SIB for proper monitoring by the State Committee on Rape and Violence against women; a committee which the state president of NCWS, Mrs. Aborode is one of the members.
Earlier, the State PRO, NCWS, Mrs. Ademulegun had earlier visited the scene of the crime just as the family of Zainab had filed a report of the case at Irun Akoko Police station.
